Salvation Army's Spartanburg food pantry needs donations

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Salvation Army said they are in desperate need of donation at their Spartanburg location.

People looking to help can drop of donations at the nonprofit's social services building between 8 a.m. and noon and 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at 1529 John B. White Sr. Blvd.

They are asking for the following types of donations:

  • Nonperishable foods
  • Peanut butter
  • Cereal
  • Canned foods - preferably pop-up lids that do not require a can opener to be opened
  • Boxed foods
  • Rice
  • Oatmeal
