ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Deputies in Anderson County are searching for the suspects in a drive-by shooting that killed one man and left another man hurt, and his family and friends held a vigil for the victim Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Oliver Street and Hall Street, according to Lt. Sheila Cole of the Anderson County Sheriff's Office.
A vehicle drove by, firing multiple shots and hitting the man and woman, Cole said.
The two victims were taken to the hospital, where the male later died.
Anderson County deputy coroner Charlie Boseman identified the victim as 20-year-old Brandon Willingham.
Willingham was a rapper who went by the name Jugg Money.
Willingham's father said he was set to become very famous in the rap world, and had just produced an album. Monday the family along with the entire neighborhood released balloons into the air in Willingham's honor.
The second victim is expected to survive and has spoken to investigators, but so far, no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made, according to deputies.
