Man injured, house damaged in possible drive-by shooting

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies in Anderson County said a man was injured and a house sustained damage in a possible drive-by shooting which occurred early Saturday morning.

Deputies were called to a home on South McDuffie Street just before 5 a.m. after a woman was awakened by the sound of gunfire and bullets crashing into her bedroom, according to incident reports.

The home was hit by at least two bullets, deputies said, and one of the slugs was found inside the woman's bedroom.

A short time later, deputies said a man called them from AnMed hospital, and told them he had been hit in the leg by a bullet while walking out of the BP station on East Shockley Ferry Road near the intersection of South McDuffie Street around the same time the woman's house had been shoot.

The man said the gunfire may have come from inside a car.

No arrests have been made in the case.
