TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A woman confined to a wheelchair had to be rescued from her mobile home that was on fire Sunday morning.

Tucson Fire Department officials said the woman called 911 from her home in the 1100 block of west Prince Road.

She reported there was a fire in her bathroom.

Crews got to the scene minutes later and found smoke coming from the back of her home. Firefighters had been to this home on previous calls on medical issues so they knew the woman was in a wheelchair.

Officials said they deployed hoses and called out for the woman who was still inside.

TFD says crews brought her out to safety and she was evaluated by paramedics. She was taken to the hospital in stable condition to be checked out.

The fire was contained to the bathroom and is now under investigation.
