LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The couple accused of killing two Las Vegas Metro police officer and a bystander Sunday equated officers and the government with Nazis, according to police.

Police said 31-year-old Jared Miller and his wife, 22-year-old Amanda Miller, left their apartment about 4:30 a.m. Sunday to begin their rampage.

About seven hours later, according to police, Jared Miller walked into a CiCi's Pizza near Nellis Boulevard and Stewart Avenue, looked around and then walked outside. They said both Jared and Amanda Miller then walked back into the restaurant, before Jared Miller walked up behind 31-year-old Officer Igor Soldo and shot him in the head. They said 41-year-old Officer Alyn Beck, who was eating lunch with Soldo reacted.

Police said that Beck was met by gunfire from Jared Miller and was wounded in the throat. They said both of the Millers then walked up to Beck and fired several rounds into him. They said the pair then covered Beck with a "Don't Tread On Me" flag and tossed a Swastika on his body. They said Jared Miller then pinned a note on Saldo's body that referenced the "beginning of a revolution."

The Millers then crossed Nellis and walked to a nearby Walmart, according to investigators. They said Jared Miller walked inside the store, fired a shot and shouted about the beginning of a revolution, telling everyone to get out of the store. They said 31-year-old Joseph Wilcox, of Las Vegas, who was carrying a concealed weapon, was inside the store and saw the commotion. They said Wilcox told his friend he was going to confront the gunman. They said Wilcox confronted Jared Miller, and Amanda Miller walked up behind Wilcox and shot him in the ribs. Wilcox collapsed and later died.

Investigators said the Millers then moved to the back of the store and prepared defensive positions. They said two teams entered the Walmart - one from the back and one from the front. They said the back team was quickly confronted by the Millers. They said there was an exchange of gunfire and words between the officers and the Millers.

The couple was eventually cornered in the back of the store, according to police. They said that was when Amanda Miller fired several rounds into her husband before shooting herself in the head. They said Jared Miller died at the scene, but Amanda Miller was taken to a local hospital, where she died.

Investigators said they believe the shooting was an "isolated act," and that the couple is not believed to be white supremacists. Instead, they said, the couple appeared to believe the government as oppressive and officers as the enforcement of that oppression.

Jared Miller has faced vehicle theft charges in Washington, according to police. They said the couple had lived in Las Vegas since January.
