GE to invest $400M, create 80 jobs with Greenville expansion

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

GE is hosting a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday at the site of their new manufacturing facility in Greenville to announce their $400 million expansion.

The GE Advanced facility will be located on the company's Power and Water Greenville campus off of Garlington Road.

The company said the investment will come in the next 10 years through a 120,000-square-foot facility and generate 80 new, highly skilled jobs.

Gov. Nikki Haley, Sen. Lindsey Graham, Sen. Tim Scott and Greenville County Council Chairman Bob Taylor attended the ceremony along with GE Power & Water President and CEO Steve Bolze.
