GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A few scattered showers and storms moved through the area overnight, with some flash flooding in Hart County.

The threat does not dissipate, as more flooding and storms are possible Thursday night and on Friday.

Power lines and trees were knocked down in Pickens County Wednesday evening as storms rolled through. FOX Carolina received reports of low hanging clouds and possible funnel clouds near Liberty, but a tornado was not confirmed.

Thursday will be stormy as well, as the area remains in an unsettled weather pattern. Expect showers toward noon, then storms during the afternoon. Any storm that develops will be capable of producing heavy rainfall.

The storms could again produce frequent lightning and flooding concerns, FOX Carolina Meteorologist Nicole Papay said. She said winds could be strong in some storms, but damaging wind should  not be widespread.

Highs will reach the low 80s for most spots.  Conditions will improve a bit as the weekend approaches, but we'll still see a few storms each afternoon through Father's Day.
