Casting call for Galifianakis movie filming in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

A casting agency is looking for extras for a major motion picture staring Zach Galifianakis and Owen Wilson that is filming in the Asheville area.

Tona B. Dahlquist Casting agency posted on its Facebook page that filming for the untitled armored car project is planned for July and August and the movie is in need of extras.

Hopefuls are asked to include the following in their submission to be an extra: A current photo/snapshot, name, phone number, age, height/weight, clothing sizes, color/make/model/year vehicle you drive, and city/state you reside.

Submissions should be sent to ashevilleextras@gmail.com with heading being your ethnicity, gender, age, city/state you reside. The agency says if people have submitted info to other email addresses, they need to resubmit to ashevilleextras@gmail.com.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the film is based on the true story of an armored truck heist where thieves stole $20 million.

In addition to Galifianakis and Wilson, Kristen Wiig recently joined the cast. Lorne Michaels and John Goldwyn are producing while Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite) is the director.
