SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A man who was arrested Friday after being on the run for more than two months after deputies said he escaped his home detention now faces additional charges.

Spartanburg County deputies said Marcel Foster, 26, was arrested Friday after someone called in a Crime Stoppers tip with information.

Deputies said they responded to an apartment on Pineneedle Drive and found Foster hiding in the attic with a black bag that contained marijuana and a gun, which deputies soon discovered had been stolen.

On March 6, deputies said officers had stopped by Foster's Carson Avenue home for a random home visit, but he was not there.

According to deputies, Foster had been placed on home detention when he failed to show up for a court appearance.

Foster was charged with escape on Friday.

On Saturday, jail records showed he had also been charged with home detention violation, possession of schedule one narcotics, possession of drugs near a school, and possession of a stolen pistol.

Foster is being held at the county jail on a $30,000 bond.
