ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An Anderson girl was attacked by two dogs when she got out of her family's house Thursday, according to deputies.

Anderson County deputies said the girl, who is 3 years old, walked outside of her grandfather's Allendale Circle home without him noticing and was attacked by two boxers who live on the same street.

Deputies said the girl was taken to the hospital with scratches and injuries on her face and body.

The dogs' owner was cited with two counts of dogs running at large and two counts of no proof of rabies shots, deputies said.

According to deputies, the woman agreed to turn her dogs over to the county and they are being held on a 10-day hold before the shelter can take full custody of them.
