WAYNESVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Two men have been arrested and charged after more than $150,000 in money and jewelry was stolen from a Hemphill home.

The Haywood County Sheriff's Office said 32-year-old James Meris and 56-year-old John Meris were arrested and charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny, conspiracy and possession of stolen property in connection with the incident Wednesday.

Deputies said John Meris was wanted, but he was taken into custody Friday afternoon.

They said additional arrests and charges are expected.
