SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg Police are working to identify two men who reportedly robbed a man at knife point, cut him and beat him with an aluminum baseball bat.

The victim told officers he and a woman were walking along Heather Drive near Camelot Drive around 5 p.m. Friday, when a mid-90s model black Ford Mustang pulled up beside them and two men jumped out of the vehicle, according to incident reports.

The victim said one of the men hit him about four times with an aluminum baseball bat while the other man pulled out a knife and demanded his wallet, according to reports.

The victim said the knife-wielding suspect cut his arms and stomach before taking off with about $250 in cash from the wallet.

Police said the male victim suffered several visible injuries, and was transported to the hospital.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
