SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies found a woman was bruised and bloodied after they said her husband attacked her, choking and kicking her in the face believing she had a man's number in her phone.

Spartanburg County deputies said they were called to the couple's home Sunday about the fight and found a pair of shoes, some hair and blood in the street.

Investigators spoke with a relative who said she saw Durian Littlejohn, 34, choking his wife, pulling her hair out and beating her up in front of their home, according to a sheriff's office report.

Deputies said Littlejohn accused of her having another man's phone number in her phone and became angry, choking her while they were in the car. Then he pulled her out of the car, continuing to choke and beat her, the report stated.

He threw her on the ground, kicking her in the face and threatened to kill her, deputies said. At that point the relative and two other witnesses were able to pull Littlejohn off of her, the report stated.

The woman was able to get away and drive herself to the hospital where investigators met with her, according to the report.

Deputies issued an arrest warrant for Littlejohn on the charge of criminal domestic violence and online arrest records show he was arrested several hours later in the day.
