ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson police say a suspect is in custody after a stolen truck wrecked in a field on Monday afternoon.

The owner of the truck told FOX Carolina he was doing lawn work when he saw someone drive off with his pickup which was towing a trailer with lawn equipment on it.

The owner said he called Anderson police who caught up with the truck.

The truck wrecked off Highway 29 (Shockley Ferry Road) at Old Belton Highway, where police and Anderson County deputies were seen searching.

Police said the suspect was identified as Jason Ivester, 34, and they charged him with driving under suspension, grand larceny and a bench warrant.
