EASLEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A 50-year-old man died after being found unresponsive in his jail cell on Friday morning, Easley Police Maj. Tim Tollison confirmed to FOX Carolina.

Tollison said Donald Warren was transported to the hospital by officers to have an IV removed from his arm after his arrest on Thursday in connection with an armed robbery.

Tollison said a doctor cleared Warren to come back and be housed at the city jail, where he was found unresponsive the next day.

Coroner Kandy Kelley said no foul play was suspected in Warren's death but it will take four to six weeks to get results back from his autopsy.

The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating his death.
