Temperatures get even hotter as we head into Tuesday across the Upstate, mountains and northeast Georgia. Highs will reach the low 90s outside the mountains and scattered storms will develop during the afternoon.
Storms on Tuesday should be fairly isolated. Any storm that forms will be capable of producing small hail, gusty winds, and lots of lightning. Best chance for rain will be between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The heat continues to crank up for Wednesday and Thursday, as highs reach the mid 90s in the Upstate. Storms will become less and less likely, but each afternoon we'll see a couple pop up.
