Orvis announced as next store set to open in Greenville's ONE Center

Posted: Updated:

Passersby may have wondering what business would move into the final corner of the ONE Center in downtown Greenville and outdoors enthusiasts may be excited with the news.

Orvis will be opening its second South Carolina store in the 5,000-square-foot space that sits adjacent to Tupelo Honey Cafe on the corner of Washington and Laurens streets.

The store will feature a full line of its hunting and fishing equipment, apparel and supplies, according to Hughes Development.

"Orvis fits perfectly with our strategy of leasing to high quality national, regional and local tenants," said Robert Hughes, project manager at Hughes Development. "We are very excited to welcome them to Greenville and think they will be a huge success."

A spokesperson for Orvis said the store plans to open in the fall, but further details have yet to be finalized.

Other businesses already outfitting the ONE Center along Greenville's Main Street include Anthropologie, Brooks Brothers and Certus Bank.
