Hot temperatures will continue to be the water cooler talk of the week. Temperatures on Wednesday will warm into the mid 90s across the Upstate and upper 80s in the mountains. This is about 6 to 8 degrees above normal for this time of year. Skies will stay sunny, but a few thunderstorms could develop briefly in the afternoon.
Thursday will continue the trend of high heat and humidity. Temperatures will get into the mid 90s once again across the Upstate, while heat index values could exceed 100.
Temperatures will cool slightly this weekend, as rain chances go up. Highs will still reach the low 90s for the Upstate and mid 80s in the mountains, so keep the cool water and fans handy!
