LAURENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

People passing by the old jail at the Laurens County Sheriff's Office may have noticed a tent atop the roof in recent days.

The director of Safe Haven Ministries, Inga Norris, has been camped out since Saturday and says she won't come down until $15,000 is raised.

She is raising money to build a playground and fence for Safe Haven, which offers services, shelter and care to victims of domestic abuse.

People wanting to donate to the fundraiser and help Norris get off the roof can stop by the jail, make a donation to Safe Haven Ministries account at any Palmetto Bank location or mail it to Safe Haven Ministries, PO Box 1082, Clinton, SC 29325.
