GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County deputies said thanks to Crime Stoppers tips they have identified the suspect who is wanted in connection with an armed robbery of a local 7-11 store.

On May 21, the 7-11 at 3301 Wade Hampton Blvd. was held up about 1:50 a.m., according to deputies.

The suspect said he had a gun and demanded money and deputies released a surveillance photo later that day of the man they were looking for, according to Master Deputy Jonathan Smith.

Smith said they received several tips and have identified the suspect as 38-year-old Wayne Gary.

Gary is wanted on two warrants for armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, Smith said.

Investigators ask anyone with information on Gary's whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers at 864-23-CRIME.
