FOREST CITY, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Forest City police made an arrest in connection with a post office drop box break-in on Thursday.

Police said 28-year-old Rodney Brown has been charged with two counts of safecracking the mailbox located in the parking lot.

After his arrest, police said their investigation led them to issuing a search warrant at a home on Florence Street in Forest City.

During the search, police said they found components of a meth lab.

Jerry Self, 43, and Michelle Clanton, 42, were both charged with possession of precursor chemicals, possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of marijuana as a result of the search warrant.
