CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) -

More than 200 individuals will gather at the Carolina Beach Boardwalk Ocean side, on June 21, as Life Rolls On Foundation (LRO) hosts "They Will Surf Again" (TWSA).

"They Will Surf Again" is a powerful event that enables individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI) to experience the freedom of riding a wave through the assistance of adaptive surfboards and volunteers.

Surfing experience is not required, as for many, it will be their first time in the ocean.

TWSA has made a profound impact on the lives of thousands nationwide by uniting the able-bodied and disability communities to demonstrate the "possible" despite circumstances that seem impossible.

This program is made available at NO COST to participants through generous sponsorships by Ocean Cure, Momentum PT, Red Bull, LoFric, Hurley, GoPro,Wavejet, Mellow Mushroom, Coastwalk Realty, Highway 55, Wings for Life, BAMA Works, Planet Logo, Hope From Helen, and Jason Mraz Foundation.

WHEN: Saturday, June 21, 2014, 9 a.m. -3p.m.
