GREENWOOD, SC (FOX Carolina) -

As part of South Carolina's Festival of Flowers in Greenwood, an aviation expo will feature a variety of planes soaring through the skies Saturday.

The Greenwood Aviation Expo is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Greenwood County Airport. The event is a fly-in for general aviation and R/C planes as well as an air show.

The public will get the chance to see a variety of planes at the free event. It costs $5 for parking, per vehicle.

From aerial acrobatics to a kidsfest, there are a variety of aviation-themed activities during the expo.

Also on Saturday is the SC Festival of Flowers 5k and 1 mile run to be held Saturday at 8:30 am at Lander University Jeff May Complex on Montague Ave (Hwy 25).
