Nacogdoches man killed after La. drilling rig bursts
LINCOLN PARISH, LA (KTRE) -
Two men, one from Nacogdoches, were killed on Thursday in an industrial accident at a Louisiana drilling rig.
According to the Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Department, Ryan Henson, 36, of Longview, and Cashies Samuel Thomas, 40, of Nacogdoches, were pronounced dead at the Wild Horse drilling rig in western Lincoln Parish. The accident, which occurred at 11:45 p.m., was caused by components on the rig bursting under extreme pressure.
A third victim was treated and released Northern Louisiana Medical Center.
Family members have been notified of incident. An investigation into the accident is underway.
