Local watch parties held for USA vs Germany World Cup match

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Millions of TVs across the nation will be tuned to the World Cup at noon on Thursday as fans cheer on the United States in its match against Germany.

And soccer fans in the western Carolinas hoping to find a festive atmosphere to watch the game have a few options to tune in.

Asheville

The Orange Peel is offering showings of two games on the main floor with couches and chairs set up for a family-friendly environment. Fans are welcome to bring food and additional seating. The venue will have beer, wine and snacks at the bar.

Clemson

Clemson University is hosting a viewing of the game at Historic Riggs Field, the home of the Tiger men's and women's soccer teams. Stadium gates open one hour prior to the start time and close 30 minutes after the conclusion of each match.

Greenville

Hans and Franz Beirgarten has TVs for the game set up along with a small cash bar. First come, first serve for seats.

Wild Wing Cafe will have the game on their TVs and is offering drink specials along with a specialty World Cup Burger.

Greer

Greer Station is hosting a watch party for the match.

Spartanburg
