Amber Alert canceled after toddler turned over to police

GRIFTON, NC (FOX Carolina) -

An AMBER Alert has been canceled after a missing 2-year-old child out of Grifton, NC.

London Exum was turned over to police just after 7: 30 p.m.

Police said the toddler was unlawfully taken by her father, Devine Dashawn Exum, who is now in custody.

Police have reported that Exum stabbed the child's mother then took the girl.

Media outlets in Grifton are reporting that Exum has been charged with first-degree kidnapping, rape, and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
