Laurens Co. deputy's home destroyed in fire

LAURENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Laurens County Sheriff's Office said a deputy's family lost all of their belongings in a house fire on Tuesday, and has asked the community to come to Deputy James Hunt's aid.

According to the Laurens County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, the Hunt family is in need of bed linens, kitchen supplies, children's clothing (boys sizes 2T, 5 and 6), hygiene products and other items.

Donations, cash or gift cards may be dropped off at the sheriff's office at 216 West Main Street, Laurens, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
