COLUMBUS, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Emergency dispatchers in Western North Carolina counties only reported one weather-related incident Sunday morning after a night of rain, flood advisories and warnings for some areas.

Dispatchers in Polk County said they received a call at 6:20 a.m. that a large tree had fallen and damaged part of a house on Peniel Road in Columbus. Dispatchers said no one was hurt. The front porch area of the home was struck and damaged, dispatchers said.

Dispatchers in Rutherford County said flood gates were raised in some areas overnight when flood warnings were issued. They said no flooding was reported and flood gates were lowered after the warnings expired at 7 a.m. Sunday.

Duke Energy's outage map only showed a small handful of outages across the Upstate and Western North Carolina area Sunday morning.

FOX Carolina meteorologist Ted Phaeton said rain and thunderstorms will likely move into the Upstate and the mountains again Sunday afternoon and into the evening.
