Lingering rain showers will taper off throughout the evening making way for partly cloudy skies. Lows will drop into the mid to upper 60s overnight with patchy fog developing by early morning.
Tuesday will turn the heat up a bit as mostly sunny skies bring the Upstate into the mid-90s by the afternoon. Western North Carolina will see temperatures peak in the upper 80s under mostly sunny skies as well.
Winds will remain light out of the west between three and eight miles per hour. Mountain towns will see a very slight chance of an isolated rain shower developing throughout the afternoon.
After another mild evening, Wednesday will continue the hot streak with temperatures reaching the 90s area-wide. We will see Rain chances briefly throughout the week before the arrival of a dry and pleasant Independence Day.
