Police: Wanted man from coast caught breaking into Upstate car

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville police said they interrupted a man breaking into a car on Tuesday and learned he was wanted in Folly Beach and Charleston.

Police said they were called to Verdae Boulevard shopping center about 7 a.m. for an autobreaking and as they arrived, they stopped the suspect as he was leaving.

Police said the man was identified as Marcus Boyd, 24, and arrested him on an autobreaking charge.

According to online jail records, Boyd is being held on larceny and financial transaction card fraud charges by another agency.
