Jewelry, money, memorabilia stolen in antique store burglary

INMAN, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies in Spartanburg County are investigating a burglary at an Inman antique store.

Deputies said they were called to Time and Time Again Antiques on Meadow Farm Road Friday morning after store owners discovered damage to the building.

The owners discovered the electrical meter box had been ripped off an outside wall and left on the ground, leaving the business without electricity, according to incident reports.

The front door was damaged and locks had been damaged or broken on several cases containing merchandise inside the store, reports state. The culprits also trashed the place, rummaging through merchandise and throwing it onto the floor.

Store employees said the culprits used a tire iron to break off hasps and shatter glass showcase doors to steal and ransack merchandise.

Store employees said jewelry, military memorabilia and coins were stolen.
