Report: Equipment worth $65K stolen from Spartanburg Day School

Someone broke into storage containers at Spartanburg Day School, stealing more than $65,000 worth of construction equipment, according to deputies.

Spartanburg County deputies said the theft was reported on Monday by the school and someone with the Morgan Corporation.

According to the deputy's report, the locks were cut on several storage units on the property belonging to both the school and the company.

Victims told deputies the containers were locked on July 3 at 5 p.m. and the break-in was discovered at 7 a.m. on Monday.

Among the items stolen were an earth compactor, tree trimmer, trimble construction equipment, an antenna, batteries and a weedeater valued at approximately $69,390, according to deputies.
