Firefighter injured, home destroyed in Spartanburg Co. blaze

ENOREE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Firefighters responded to a residential fire in Woodruff Tuesday night.

The fire was reported on U.S. 221 around 9 p.m.

Paramedics said one firefighter was transported to Spartanburg Regional hospital with injuries. An official on scene said the injured firefighter got tangled in a hose and fell, hitting his head.

A firefighter with the Enoree Fire Department said the injured firefighter is fine, but was taken to the hospital for observation. 

Officials with the fire department said the home that caught fire is a total loss.

No other details about the fire have been released.
