A cold front will move in on Wednesday and that will act as a focus for showers and storms. The Upstate will have a 50 percent chance of storms, while the mountains will have an even higher threat. Heavy rain will be the biggest concern with thunderstorms that develop.
More storms will fire on Thursday, but the greatest threat will be along interstate 85 and southward. Highs will stay seasonably hot in the mid 80s for the mountains and around 90 in the Upstate.
Friday should be mostly dry, then isolated storms are back for Saturday and Sunday.
