UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Union County deputies said two men were charged after a Twitter feud led to a real-life fight where gunshots were fired.

Deputies said they were called to Pineland Road after a neighbor heard shots being fired in the roadway just after 4 a.m. Thursday.

Deputies said they found Tyler Hart, 21, of Spring Street, Buffalo, in the road, bleeding from a cut on his head.

Hart told deputies he had got into a fight with Christopher Wyatt, 18, of Pineland Road, after the two had been arguing on Twitter.

Hart told deputies Wyatt pulled out a gun and fired into the air, which prompted Hart to fight Wyatt, take the gun and hide it in a trash pile next to a house on Pineland Road.

Deputies said they located and seized the .40 caliber Smith & Wesson pistol.

When deputies talked to Wyatt, he shared a different story.

Wyatt admitted to the Twitter feud, but claims he fired the gun in the air as a warning after he discovered Hart in his back yard. Wyatt said he then ran inside to wake up his mother before going back outside and fighting with Hart, according to incident reports.

Deputies charged Hart with assault and battery third degree.

Wyatt was charged with breach of peace.
