SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Jail records show a woman is in custody after Spartanburg County deputies said she made and sold meth across the street from an elementary school.

According to deputies, they found meth-making tools in a trash can outside the mobile home of Dawn Tate, 39, Friday waiting to be picked up by waste management. They said Tate rented the home across from Lone Oak Elementary School.

Deputies said based on the materials they found, it was a theoretical yield of 10.59 grams of methamphetamine and signed several warrants for her arrest.

On Sunday, deputies said they stopped a car believed to have Tate inside that failed to use a turn signal at New Cut Road and Interstate 26.

The driver was cited and Tate was arrested on the 12 outstanding warrants. While headed to the jail, deputies said Tate complained of neck pain so they stopped at the hospital on the way where she was checked out and released.

According to deputies, they found four syringes, a Loritab pill, two knives, a Taser flashlight, two Social Security cards that were not hers and three men's drivers licenses in her purse.

In all, jail records show Tate was charged with 13 counts of attempt and conspiracy of drugs, pseudophedrine purchase more than 9 grams and possession of a scheduled IV narcotic.

Deputies said they also found pay stubs and tickets made out to Jack Allen Richey, who they said is also wanted in connection to the meth lab. Richey, 52, was arrested on Monday on the charges of manufacturing drugs near a school, trafficking methamphetamine more than 10 grams and disposal of methamphetamine waste.
