GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Highway Patrol said a woman talking on a cell phone crashed and was thrown from the car Sunday afternoon.

Troopers said the accident happened on I-85 South near exit 55. They said the driver was answering her phone when she ran off the road, hit a median and flipped her vehicle.

According to troopers, the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car. She was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital with injuries. There is no word on her condition at this time.

There was also an infant in the car at the time of the wreck. Troopers said the child was properly secured and was not injured.

The driver was charged with driving too fast for conditions.
