Record breaking cool temperatures will be possible for Thursday morning.
Temperatures will drop into the low 50s for the mountains and 60s in the Upstate. The record for the mountains is 54 from 1939, while the Upstate record is 60 from 1886.
Thursday afternoon will be sunny and comfortable as humidity stays fairly low and highs stay in the 80s. Clouds will increase Thursday night into Friday as an upper disturbance gets closer to us.
By Saturday, we'll see scattered showers. There will be a 40 percent chance of rain for most areas Saturday, then a 50 percent chance on Sunday.
