HP: Drivers cited after 2 vehicle collision in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A two car collision shut down High Shoals Road in Anderson County on Thursday night.

Broadway Fire Department and Highway Patrol were on the scene of the accident which occurred just before 7:30 p.m. near Cry Baby Bridge.

Investigators on scene said two vehicles were involved, a pick-up truck with horse trailer and an SUV.

Seven people were reportedly in the SUV and one in the pick-up.

Investigators said all eight were taken to the hospital.

There was no information available about the severity of the injuries.

Trooper Tony Keller said both driver were cited: the driver of the SUV for improper stopping and standing in the roadway; the driver of the truck with driving too fast for conditions.
