GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Greenville man was sentenced to life in prison after he was convicted of sex crimes with a minor.

Solicitor Walt Wilkins said 63-year-old Roy Lee Jones was convicted by a jury on Thursday of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of lewd acts with a minor.

Judge Robin Stilwell then sentenced Jones to life in prison without the possibility of parole in the South Carolina Department of Corrections.

Wilkins said Jones abused two girls between April 2003 and January 2009.

Jones had a previous conviction of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, according to Wilkins.
