Former QB Williams to join Clemson broadcast team

CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Former star Clemson quarterback Rodney Williams will join the Tigers' radio broadcast team this fall, Clemson Athletics and its multimedia rights holder Learfield Sports' Clemson Tigers Sports Properties announced on Friday.

Williams will be calling the games with play-by-play announcer Don Munson as the color analyst.

"I'm excited to be a part of the Clemson football broadcast and be around the program again," Williams said. "This is a great opportunity, and I can't wait to get started this fall."

Williams, who was inducted into the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame this past spring, completed his Clemson career (1985-88 as the winningest starting quarterback in ACC history with a 32-10-2 record.
