Troopers: Woman hit, killed by teen driver in Oconee Co.

TOWNVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Highway Patrol said it is investigating after a woman was hit and killed by a teenager near Townville in Oconee County.

Trooper Tony Keller said a car was traveling on West Oak Highway, near the intersection of Coneross Creek and Hunts Roads Sunday night, when a 16-year-old driver hit the woman from behind.

The coroner said the 29-year-old Seneca woman was walking back from a friend's house around 11:30 p.m. when she was struck.

She died on the scene and was identified by the coroner as Jessica Hope Bramlett.

No charges have been filed at this time.

That crash remains under investigation.
