Expect mostly dry conditions for the Wednesday morning commute, but some showers will return.

Patchy fog will develop through the early morning hours, then break up as sunshine emerges.

Under partly cloudy skies, temperatures will warm into the upper 80s for the Upstate and low 80s in the mountains on Wednesday. This is near normal for late July.

A few afternoon showers and storms will be possible, but rain won't be widespread.

A cold front pushes in for Thursday, bringing more storms. The front should pass to the south on Friday, bringing in less muggy air and more sunshine.

The dry weather will persist through the weekend.
