RALEIGH, N.C. -

Raleigh police are offering a reward leading to an arrest in connection with a July 2 robbery attempt and kidnapping of a Holly Springs McDonald’s employee.

Police said an employee of a McDonald's in Holly Spring was kidnapped from her home around 12:30 a.m. on July 2. The suspect forced the woman into her car and told her to return to the McDonald's where she worked so that he could rob the restaurant.

When they arrived at the restaurant, police said the man got out of the vehicle, which gave the woman the opportunity to drive away.

While attempting to escape, the man shot at the vehicle and the woman sustained a non life-threatening injury.

The suspect is described as a short, thin black man wearing a dark colored sweatshirt, black gloves, dark pants, and also a dark cover over his face. He was armed with a silver revolver.

Holly Springs investigators are working with Raleigh police detectives on the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Sgt. Mike Stone of the Holly Springs Police Department at (919) 567-4708.

Raleigh police did not disclose the amount of the reward being offered.
