GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County deputies are trying to identify a man they said pulled a gun on a loss prevention officer at Target.

On July 22 around 8 p.m., the man went into the store on Woodruff Road and loss prevention employees noticed he began putting items in his pockets and shopping cart, according to Deputy Drew Pinciaro.

When the man attempted to leave the store without paying for the items, the loss prevention employee approached him and the man pulled out a silver handgun and pointed it at the employee, Pinciaro said.

The man then ran out of the store and fled with the merchandise in a cream colored vehicle, according to Pinciaro.

Investigators ask anyone with information on the incident or the identity of the man to contact Crime Stoppers at 864-23-CRIME.
