ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A man accused of pulling a gun on a Target employee was arrested at another Upstate Target on Saturday, according to police.

The suspect, Daniel Lee Waldrop, is accused of shoplifting and pulling a gun on a loss prevention officer at a Greenville County Target store, and then lying to police after he was spotted in the Anderson Target on Friday.

Police said they were called to the Target on Clemson Boulevard about a possible shoplifter after Waldrop, 28, of Starr, was spotted inside the store.

Officers said store employees recognized Waldrop from surveillance photos that had circulated the store, which showed a suspect in a July 22 shoplifting at the Target on Woodruff Road in Greenville.

Greenville County deputies said the suspect in that case placed items in a shopping cart and in his pockets and then left the store without paying for the merchandise.

When a loss prevention officer approached the suspect, deputies said he pulled out a silver handgun and pointed it at the employee.

Anderson police said Waldrop was wearing the same clothes that the suspect in the July 22 incident had been wearing and that employees noticed his tattoos were the same as those on the man in the surveillance photo.

When officers arrived, they said Waldrop lied about his identity and was immediately charged with misrepresentation of identity.

Officers said Waldrop was also carrying a glass pipe with drug residue on it, which warranted an additional charge of loitering in a drug area.

Greenville County deputies took custody of Waldrop on Saturday and charged him with armed robbery and possession of a gun during the commission of a violent crime, according to online jail records.

Waldrop is being held in the Greenville County Detention Center on a $20,000 bond.
