INMAN, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg County deputies are investigating a vandalism reported at an Inman cemetery.

Deputies said they were called to Roselawn Memorial Gardens on Compton Bridge Road on Friday afternoon after the lawn care crews noticed a gravestone had been vandalized.

Benjamin Christopher, the cemetery's owner, said someone poured red and brown paint over the bronze plaque and granite monument.

Christopher said a bronze vase was also stolen from the monument. He said it was the second time the case had been stolen.

Christopher said it would cost around $600 to repair and replace the damaged monument.

No suspects were identified in the case, according to incident reports.
