ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson County deputies are investigating a possible drive-by shooting that sent a man to the hospital Saturday afternoon.

Deputies said a man was shot at Soapy's car wash on Sayre Street.

The shots were fired from inside a vehicle and that vehicle then fled the scene, according to Lt. Sheila Cole.

The suspect drove away in a 2004 or 2006 gold Nissan Altima with a red paper tag, Cole said.

Cole said a friend of the victim drove the injured man to the hospital in an SUV.

That SUV was roped off with crime scene tape and was held as evidence after deputies discovered a bullet hole on the vehicle, Cole said.

Deputies are still working to determine a motive in the shooting.

If you have information about the shooting or a possible suspect, deputies ask you to call 1-888-CRIME-SC.
