(RNN) - Kevin McGroarty wanted everyone to know two things about life: it doesn't cost anything to be nice and never stick a knife in an electric outlet.

Those words are the final advice left behind by a man who, as told in his now viral self-written obituary, died Tuesday “after battling a long fight with mediocracy.”

The obituary, published in the Wilkes-Barre, PA Times Leader, eulogizes McGroarty as “a veteran of the advertising industry” and “a pioneer in Apple computing.”

“He would like to remind his friends: ‘Please don’t email me, I’m dead,’” the obituary reads.

McGroarty leaves behind no children “that he knows of” and only leaves this life with one regret.

He was never able to start a revolution that would force the price of Hershey’s chocolate to 35 cents, “a dream he was not able to fulfill, by his own admission the reason: ‘I was distracted by many beautiful women.’”

But he makes a promise on his headstone, which, according to the obituary, reads "I'll Be Right Back."
