WESTMINSTER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Oconee County deputies said a Westminster couple is accused of killing the woman's father, stabbing him multiple times, slitting his throat then leaving him in their home to die.

Captain Travis Tilson said deputies responded to the family's home on Jefferson Drive in the Foxwood Hills neighborhood around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. When deputies arrived, they found one victim dead, Tilson said.

Coroner Karl Addis identified the victim as Donald Davis, 71, of Westminster. He said Davis died early Tuesday after he was stabbed. An autopsy will be done on Wednesday.

Deputies said Davis got into an argument with his daughter, Christine Black, and her husband, John Black Jr., sometime late on Monday night or early Tuesday.

Arrest warrants state the couple stabbed Davis and cut his throat before fleeing the house.

Deputies said the Blacks left in Davis' minivan, which was spotted about 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday in Hart County, GA, leading to a brief chase. They said the couple was taken into custody, and are awaiting extradition back to Oconee County.

The Blacks have ben living in the Jefferson Drive home with Davis, deputies said. They have both been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Coroner Karl Addis said Davis died as a result of heart and lung trauma due to the stabbing injuries.

Addis said the death is classified as a homicide.
